Joetta Claycomb Lampton, 72, Bewleyville, died Feb. 2, 2012, at her residence. She was born Aug. 1, 1939 in Breckinridge County, the daughter of the late William and Zenith Elene Board Claycomb.

She was a homemaker who enjoyed crocheting, arts and crafts, watching her hummingbirds, raising a garden and mowing her yard. Her most precious time was spent on the phone with her grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by a son, Billy; and a brother, Howard Claycomb.

Mrs. Lampton is survived by her husband, Kayo Lampton, Bewleyville; a daughter, Jacki Lampton, West Lake, La.; five grandchildren, B.J. and Missy Lampton, Danielle Stratton, and Scott and Kaycie Hallman; seven great-grandchildren, Bayllie and Ethan Hallman, Charlie Quibodeaux, Isaac and Isiah Lampton and Nikolai and Shawn Stratton.

Funeral services were held Feb. 7, from the chapel of the Trent-Dowell Funeral Home with Brother Bob Chordle officiating. Burial was in the Bethel Cemetery near Bewleyville.
