Dale Scott, 66, Cadiz, died Dec. 22, 2011, at his caretaker's residence in Ekron, after a battle with cancer. He was born Sept. 23, 1945, in Glasgow, to the late John W. Scott and Wilma Neal Scott Jeffries.
He was of the Baptist faith and was a retired first shift production superintendent from Bremner in Princeton. He participated in off-road racing, an avid NASCAR fan and loved boating.
He was preceded in death by his father, John W. Scott; his mother, Wilma Neal Scott Jeffries; and a son, Greg Scott.
Mr. Scott was survived by two brothers, Morace (Janie) Scott, Hazel Green, Ky., and Garyon (Stella) Scott, Burkesville; two sisters, Patsy Scott, Cadiz, and Christine (Larry) Burnett, Maricopa, Ariz.; five grandchildren, Jon Scott, Ekron, Courtney Scott and Brandon Scott, both of Guston, Amanda and Chase Simcoe, and Waylon Banks, all of Flaherty; two greatgrandchildren, Landen Scott, Ekron, and Abigayle Simcoe, Flaherty; several nieces and nephews; and special friends, Jerry and Charlotte Trent, Ekron, Kenny and Martha Shipley and girls, and Maxine.Gray, all of Cadiz.
Funeral services were held Dec. 27, from the chapel of the King's Funeral Home in Cadiz, Ky., with the Rev. Mike Wimberly officiating. Burial was in Hurricane Cemetery.
