Carmel pecan squares:

1 box Pillsbury Plus yellow cake mix
1/4 c. real butter

Mix these together sig a mixer on low speed.  I sometimes find I need to add an extra TBS or two of butter.  It will be crumbly.  Press this into a jelly roll pan.   Let me add a word of caution.  The first time I tried to make these I just used a cookie sheet with a rim around it.  This didn't work.  It overflowed in the oven and made a terrible mess.  So, I have a pan just for these squares.  To me it's worth it.

Anyway, to continue . . . Spread pecans over this crust.  The recipe calls for 4 cups, but I don't use quite that many.

Mix in a saucepan:
1c. brown sugar
1/2 c. white sugar
1 c. real butter
1/2 c. honey

Bring to a boil, boil for three minutes.

Remove from heat, and add:
1/4 c. whipping cream.

Pour over pecans.  Take care to spread it evenly.

Bake at 350 17-22 minutes.
