This deed has to do with the settlement of the estate of Richard Stith, Jr. It is typed from an original handwritten copy of the 1844 deed from the Richard Stith heirs to Jesse Stith. This deed copy was in posession of Jack J. Scott until January 2001. It is now in possession of Jess B. Scott. The text of the deed yields data on the descendents of Richard Stith Jr. According to Kenneth Stith, Richard Stith Jr. died 13 Apr 1843 in Stithton and his wife Elizabeth Jones Stith died 24 Aug 1844 in Stithton. According to the will of Jesse Jones Stith, Richard Stith, Jr. and Elizabeth Jones Stith were buried on the farm where Jesse lived. This deed would apparently describe that property. .... Jesse B.
